Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: CCBC has a series of legacy Nortel/Avaya 1000M phone switches working in conjunction with a newer model Nortel/Avaya distributed 1000e phone switch. The college requires the services to maintain the current environment. The college requires the ability to escalate problems which cannot be resolved locally. The main campuses of CCBC (Catonsville, Dundalk and Essex) have a legacy Nortel/Avaya 1000M phone switch, which currently handles all digital and analog phones, and a Nortel/Avaya 1000e which is part of a distributed IP telephony infrastructure. The extension centers at Hunt Valley, Randallstown/Liberty Road and Owings Mills each have a Nortel/Avaya Survivable Remote Gateway (SRG) which is part of the distributed IP Telephony infrastructure. The Catonsville campus has two fiber remote shelves, one installed in the Student Services Building and the other installed in the Classroom and Laboratory Building.. Regular Maintenance The phone systems will be reviewed quarterly. Recommended patches or system modifications will be reviewed with the IT (Information Technology) Staff. The work will be performed after approval of the patch or modification. When possible reviews, modifications and patching can be performed remotely. Monitoring and Notification The CS1000e and the CS1000m units will be monitored remotely by the successful offeror 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days of the year. Monitoring may be performed via Site Event Buffer (SEB) or IP monitoring can be coordinated with the college. Any outage would be reported via a provided escalation procedure which would include emails and/or telephone notification. The successful offeror would be begin remediation of the reported outage. Monitoring and notification of third party add on products such as Telstrat and RSI are not required.
