Specifications include, but are not limited to:These specifications describe the requirements for tactical ballistic vests. The tactical ballistic vestspecified is to be placed into service by the Merced County Sheriffs Office. The tactical ballistic vestsfurnished to meet these specifications must comply with the requirements of Cal-OSHA worker safetyregulations, and any other Federal or State standards which may regulate the design, manufacture or useof this equipment.The specifications for the tactical ballistic vests are features best suited for the intended use of theequipment and are not intended to exclude equipment that may vary slightly from these specifications.Judgment of the exceptions is to rest with Merced County Administrative Services-Purchasing. As partof this bid, bidder must provide an exception page for each item bid listing any exception(s) taken to thespecifications. If exception(s) are not noted, the County will assume the bidder will meet all of thoserequirements and assume full responsibility to meet the specifications.1. The product must be an NIJ 0101.06 Certified level IIIA tactical ballistic Vest.1.1 The Tactical Vest being offered must have NIJ 0101.06 Certified Level IIIA BallisticPanel Inserts with an aerial density not to exceed 1.19 PSF.1.2 The outer carrier must be constructed of 1000D Cordura consistent with existing MultiCampatterns. This includes all Pouch Attachment Ladder System (PALS) and MOLLEwebbing and straps.1.3 The tactical vest must include the following ancillary ballistic protective attachments thatinclude Level IIIA soft armor panel inserts: Neck, Yoke, Groin, Deltoid andCummerbund.1.4 The tactical vest must be constructed in a fashion to which the end user can properlywield a buttstock of a rifle without impinging on the ballistic panel.1.5 The Tactical vest must also have a robust drag handle, front and rear loop pile to attach a4x10 SHERIFF identification placard and front and rear pockets to accommodate a9.50x12.50 or 10.0x12.0 SAPI shape hard armor insert.1.6 All product offerings must be 100% made and assembled in the U.S.A
