Specifications include, but are not limited to:Arlington County will receive bids for the sweeping of five parking garages and approximately 38 miles ofpaved off street bike trails (8 average width) and related work for a five-year period, with two (2) one-yearextension options.GARAGES1. The I-66 Parking Garage located at North Quincy Street and 16th Street is a five (5) level garage with anadjacent in-line skating fenced area. Curbs, walkways and stairs shall be a part of the area coveredunder this contract. Total garage area to be swept is approximately 280,775 square feet.2. The Justice Center Parking Garage, located at 1425 North Courthouse Road is a large indoor two levelgarage taking up one whole city block. It is not accessible to the public.3. The Court Square West Parking Garage, located at 1400 North Uhle Street is a four level indoor parkinggarage facility.4. The Central Library Parking Garage, located at 1015 North Quincy Street is a four level indoor parkinggarage facility.5. The Trades Center Parking Garage, located at 2881 South Taylor Street.6. The Thomas Building Parking Garage, located at 2020 North 14th Street.PARKING LOTS County parking lots shall be swept at a minimum of quarterly a year to remove accumulated sedimentsand debris. The County Project Officer may request additional services if needed. Contractor shall use a vacuum sweeper to remove accumulated sediments and debris. Remove litter throughout parking areas, along curbs, and in front of storm drain inlets. Protect storm drains during cleaning operation. A floor scrubber vacuum should be used if possible toclean lots. Wash water should be disposed of in the sanitary sewer system. If not possible, use the leastamount of water possible and place oil absorbent booms in front of the storm drains. Remove boomsand any accumulated material when the cleaning operation is complete.
