Specifications include, but are not limited to:The District currently has a need for a device capable of processing transformer oil. The intent is toeffectively move and treat the oil in District owned transformers. The processor shall not be used to filllarge transformers under high vacuum but may fill smaller transformers that require only a partial vacuum.The processor shall be used solely for mineral transformer oil under online or offline operation. A flowrate of 25 gallons per minute (GPM) or 1500 gallons per hour (GPH) is the target operating point eventhough we may not have power available at all times to achieve that target.A. Trailer1. Must be portable to various locations around the District; a ball hitch cargo trailer is thepreferred option. This trailer must comply with current Washington State Department ofTransportation regulations and be legal to travel on public roads and highways.2. The trailer must completely contain the oil processor and have doors that keep the insideof the trailer out of the weather. There must be sufficient room for an operator to easilyaccess all parts of the processor.3. Doors must be lockable.4. The fully outfitted trailer must not exceed 90% of the GVWR for the trailer.5. Interior lighting shall be included.6. The interior and exterior walls shall be painted white and be free of any logos.B. Construction1. Pipework shall be welded throughout.2. Threaded fittings are allowed only for sensors, vents, and drains. Flanges shall be used tofacilitate the easy removal of components for maintenance.3. Valves shall be three part, quarter turn, full port ball valves with Teflon seals and stainlesssteel ball.4. Flow indicators, strainers, and pumps shall be flanged.5. A strainer shall be placed before both oil pumps. Strainer shall be removable formaintenance.6. Hose connections shall be 1.5 female, cam-lock type, all hose fittings shall be stainlesssteel or aluminum and supplied with plugs.7. Seals for moving parts shall be Viton. Flange gaskets and O-rings may be nitrile rubber.8. Isolation valves shall be placed at the inlet and outlet.9. All pipework and any parts that arent stainless steel or aluminum shall be painted orotherwise coated to prevent corrosion.
