Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: Drain Fields: 1. Inspect observation port boxes and port pipes for damage. 2. Brush perforated pipes or pressure jet pipes, each listed drain-field piping, as shown on the Maintenance Schedule TS-2. 3. Turn on dosing pump and note squirt height with the pump running (should be 3 ft. to 6 ft. high). 4. Note any vegetation growth in the drain field. B. Dosing Tanks 1. Inspect for scum and solids buildup in the tank. 2. Inspect the pump pulling cable for entanglement. The only pumps with pulling cables are located at Wanapum and Priest Rapids Dams. 3. Inspect and clean the pump bag filters and filter screens. 4.Inspect the float switch or emergency backup float switch. 5.Inspect the transducer cable and body for damage and proper level reading. Note any abnormality. C. Septic Tanks: 1. Inspect and measure the scum layer and solids buildup on the bottom of the tank. 2. Inspect and clean outlet filter. 3. Inspect tank vents. 4. Pump septic tank when authorized in accordance with Section TS-6. D. Sewage Pump Station: 1.Inspect for scum and solids buildup in tank. If more than two inches (2) is noted, contact the District Representative before leaving the site. 2.Inspect the emergency float switch cable for entanglement. 3.Inspect transducer body for damage and proper level reading. 4.Inspect pump pulling cable for entanglement. 5.Pull pumps and inspect for damage. 6.Inspect and clean the pump bag filters.
