Specifications include, but are not limited to:his contract is for pipe inspection and cleaning of the Storm Water Collection System (SWCS) ofthe Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The contract requires the physical/ videoinspection of the storm sewer pipes. Cleaning of the storm sewer pipes will be based on theresults of the inspection work and the cleaning of the storm sewer inlets and pipes will be basedon the maps given in Attachment A.2 SPECIFICATIONS / SCOPE OF WORK2.1 The objectives of the inspection is to identify damaged pipes and make recommendations forrepairs and cleaning of the SWCS to ensure that aging or damaged inlets do not cause safetyconcerns on the surface and to insure that the storm water flows are conveyed properly throughpipes and outfalls.2.2 The Contractor shall perform the following:2.2.1 Review as-built drawings and reports of the storm sewer system.2.2.2 Perform field inspections of SWCS inlets.2.2.3 Provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform a televised inspection of the StormSewer System drainage piping. See Attachment B for details on pipe size, material and lengths.2.2.4 Provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary to clean the Storm Sewer System pipingand/or inlets. Pipes shall be cleaned of any debris, trash and silt. Any cleaning materials otherthan water will require approval by DFW Airport Board Energy, Transportation and AssetManagement (ETAM) Representative.2.2.5 Contractor may have more than one truck/crew working at one time.2.2.6 Provide a report and map of actions completed including location, structure name, total silt anddebris yardages and comments after cleaning is completed.2.2.7 Damaged pipes and inlets shall be noted and given to the engineer or representative with locationand type of damage and condition of the inlet or pipe.2.2.8 Solid and Liquid Waste Disposal2.2.8.1 All solid waste shall be disposed of in accordance with the Solid Waste Management Plansubmitted by the Contractor and approved by DFW Environmental Affairs. Wastewater and silt vacuumed during cleaning shall be decanted at designated areas approvedby DFW Environmental Affairs that will be identified on the airport for use by the contractor. Thevacuum vehicle shall be equipped with a minimum 20-foot long vinyl hose for decanting. No airgap shall be allowed between the trucks drain valve and the top of the manhole when decanting.All wastewater generated during cleaning processes must be appropriately collected anddisposed into the sanitary sewer system. DFW Environmental Affairs will provide approvedlocations to discharge into the sanitary sewer
