Specifications include, but are not limited to:Provide Status Offender Services (SOS) to support at risk youth ages 6-17 years in Santa ClaraCounty exhibiting status offender behavior. SOS shall also support the siblings of SOS youth,ages birth to 5 years old, by linking them, as needed, to appropriate developmental services. TheSOS Program shall offer a Countywide, comprehensive, coordinated system of care for statusoffender youth. SOS will include the following three programs:a. Crisis Triage and Response This is a Countywide 24 hours, 7 days a week mobile crisisintervention response service that responds immediately to requests from law enforcementofficers, Juvenile Probation Department, Department of Family and Children Services,Schools, and other community-based organizations within Santa Clara County. Response shallbe immediate by telephone or face-to-face and no more than one (1) hour from receipt of therequest. This component also maintains a centralized telephone number to receive and assesscalls received from anywhere in the County. Services and interventions will includeassessment, referrals, crisis counseling, and shelter placement, if needed.b. Status Offender Services Shelter - A short-term temporary housing shelter for youth who areunable to return to their caregivers due to at risk behaviors or whose safety is at risk if returnedto their home.c. Aftercare Behavioral Health Services Short-term aftercare outpatient mental healthservices for youth exiting the shelter or crisis triage and response services. Services will beprovided to status offenders and their families on an as needed basis following involvementwith the Crisis Triage and Response Service and/or after the completion of their stay at theSOS shelter facility. Aftercare services will include continued counseling, case management,referrals, and other appropriate services
