Specifications include, but are not limited to:This contract, one of six contracts to be issued by the MHSOAC, is to support and ensure the meaningful statewide participation of Families of Clients/Consumers stakeholder groups and their families in mental health community planning and policy considerations. The remaining five contracts will support the inclusion of other target populations. The Contractor will provide support, information, and opportunities for Families of Clients/Consumers through a range of training and education, advocacy and outreach activities, messages, and supports to encourage systems change, increase access and linkage to quality mental health services and supports, as well as engagement. In addition, the Contractor will participate in and represent the views of Families of Clients/Consumers through the MHSOAC processes. Responses to the Scope of Work (SOW) must clearly articulate how the proposed approach supports the voice of Families of Clients/Consumers in the provision of mental health services on the local and statewide levels. Proposed approaches should provide responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables that equally target local-level services, which include county governments and other key stakeholders at the local-level, and state-level services, which include state legislature, executive branch, and other key stakeholders at the state-level. The successful Proposer will offer a Scope of Work that identifies the specific needs of Families of Clients/Consumers at the local and state levels that are achievable through the proposed activities. The Proposer shall develop activities that can be assessed and evaluated for impact at the local and state level. Activities shall be designed to engage diverse populations of Families of Clients/Consumers in a manner that is consistent and sensitive to the unique needs across the diverse landscape of California counties.
