The Outagamie County Emergency Management Department is seeking proposals for the maintenance on 43 sirens operating in Outagamie County. A licensed electrician would primarily do this maintenance. Currently, reports are reviewed daily during the week from the daily poll test and the audible Saturday test is reviewed on Monday morning. The contractor would be notified of the sirens requiring maintenance at that time. Maintenance on these sirens would need to be completed no later than two days after receiving the report between the months of March October. The Emergency Management Director may also request immediate service for the sirens because of upcoming severe weather. During the months of November February the maintenance can be completed within five days of receiving the report. After the maintenance is completed for the week the contractor must provide documentation for the work completed on the sirens and any parts installed. On average the number of sirens requiring maintenance could vary from zero to four. The contractor may also be requested to install batteries, controllers, radios, and other items as upgrades are done.
