Specifications include, but are not limited to:Lane County, on behalf of Supervision Services of its Youth Services Division seeks responses from qualified entities that have the interest and ability to provide short-term shelter care services to medium-risk youth, in lieu of detention at the Juvenile Justice Center. Lane County receives Juvenile Crime Prevention funds from the Oregon Department of Education to provide intervention services to youth aged 10 to 17 who are at risk of progressive involvement in the juvenile justice system, based on risk factors such as: anti-social behavior, poorly functioning or lack of family support, failure in school, negative peer association and/or emergent substance abuse indicators. The youth referred for short-term shelter (please note that this is a brief description of the target population, selected contractor and County will further define/limit the target population as part of the contracting process): do not rise to the level of risk requiring detention are eligible for conditional release are unable to return home based on issues related to their home life as a contributing factor to delinquency, or victimization in the home, lack of supervision, etc. . . . will be required to appear in Juvenile Court within thirty-six (36) hours
