Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools,equipment and incidentals and performing all Work required to repair cracks on the interior walls and the interiorof the top slab in Ozone Contactor No. 1 at the Shoal Creek Filter Plant. An abridged Technical Memorandumfrom the initial structural investigation is attached to these specifications for information only and includes anestimate of the linear feet of crack repair required, photographs, and crack mapping.1-1.2. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, work on the cracks clouded in the TechnicalMemorandum Appendix C (Field Notes pages 5-8) and for the following major work items:1-1.2.1. Injecting all cracks on the interior of the north, south, east, and west walls of Ozone Contactor No. 1with foaming resin from the inside after the ozone contactor has been taken out of service, drained,and cleaned. See the Concrete Crack Injection and Sealant specification Section 03 01 26.66 for fullcrack injection requirements. There is no injection included for the top slab of the ozone contactor.1-1.2.2. Routing the cracks on the interior of the walls and the interior of the top slab of Ozone Contactor No.1 and filling the resulting groove with crack sealant. Use sealants compatible with the manufacturersresin utilized. Sealants will need to be NSF approved for use in contact with potable water and ozoneresistant. Use silicone-based sealants such as Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant or an approvedpolysulfide or polyurethane sealant that can demonstrate resistance to ozone. See the Concrete CrackInjection and Sealant specification Section 03 01 26.66 for full sealant requirements. Bond breakertape may be required on top, pending final selection of sealant and coating material.
