Specifications include, but are not limited to:Detailed Specifications Sealed bids are being accepted for the proposed sidewalk and brick paver project in the Kiwanis Park as outlined herein. The intent is to contract with one firm for top soil removal, grubbing, grading, curb, handicapped ramp and sidewalk installation, brick paver and all other requirements of the plans and contract documents. Included with (and made part of) this specification package are the drawings titled Kiwanis Park SVFD Tribute dated February 16, 2016. Prices bid shall include necessary survey work by the contractor to assure the elevations shown in the drawings are met for the installation of the sidewalk, curbing, and all other features. The intent is to install these items in a manner that will completely drain and prevent excessive amounts of standing water during rain events. All other specifications necessary for the completion of the paving work and not mentioned herein, shall conform to the 2012 edition of the International Building Code (IBC). The Contractor shall provide all temporary utilities for the project. All costs associated any required permits and licenses will be the contractors responsibility. The City of Seaford will obtain and provide to the contractor the necessary City building permit at no charge. The existing curb and sidewalk (where required) shall be removed and disposed of by the contractor. This shall include existing pavement removal and repair as necessary to accommodate sidewalk and curb removal and replacement. All pavement removed shall be saw cut full depth one foot minimum from the face of curb prior to removal. Patch material to be used is hot mixed, hot laid, bituminous concrete mix Type B & C (or equivalent) with minimum thicknesses to match the existing pavement depths. The successful bidder shall submit a specification of the material and the source of supply to the owner for approval. Bituminous concrete shall be spread true to the line, grade, width and crown required to match the existing adjacent pavement. All drop offs must be protected with proper slopes and appropriate traffic control devices at the end of each work day
