Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.A standardized alert notification system is preferable to a patchwork of systems currently in use across certain state agencies.2.The State achieves economies of scale by leveraging one notification platform, which will streamline training, implementation, and deployment of the system across state agencies.3.Standardized policies and procedures need to be created to ensure consistent usage of the system.4.Currently, there are many State agencies that have no access to an alerting system. Every State government agency should have access to an alert notification system to ensure timely notification of critical incidents and other threats to employee safety or welfare. 5.Adoption of alert notification technology is deemed a private industry and government best practice, and the State must act now to procure and implement technology
