Specifications include, but are not limited to:Northern Illinois University (University), Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) seeks to retain the services of nationally recognized higher education sports search advisors to provide support during employment search processes of coaches. These services will be provided on an as-needed basis, for the period beginning with contract execution through 6/30/17, with the option to renew for an additional eight (8) one-year periods at the same terms and conditions based on satisfactory performance, continuing need and availability of funds. Recruiting and retaining coaches is vital to DIAs success. In executing its fiduciary responsibilities, the University has determined it has a need for outside professional expertise to assist with confidentially identifying, recruiting and securing the services of athletics coaches. The University retains the right to award to a single firm for all services herein, or make multiple awards to assure adequacy of service.DIA is a critical component of Universitys operations and the unit charged with administering all 17 Division I athletic programs and oversight of over 400 student-athletes at Northern Illinois University. The mission of DIA is to enhance the University, community and region through service and engagement while developing champions in the classroom, in competition and in life.The immediate stabilization of leadership is essential to prevent or minimize serious disruption in critical University services and operations when the need for a coach search becomes apparent. The environment surrounding college and university athletic employment searches is unique and extraordinarily challenging. The University seeks professionals that can offer strategic guidance and facilitate employment searches with speed and confidentiality in the hyper-competitive environment of college athletics.The awarded Respondent must be able to provide search firm services for head coaches. If a Respondent's performance during the first search fails to meet the performance standards and/or capabilities as represented by the Respondent in its proposal, the University reserves the right to terminate the award and contract with the next most qualified awarded Respondent.If a subcontractor or supplier is needed to fulfill contract requirements, please consider using a small or disadvantaged business.
