Specifications include, but are not limited to: The C827 (16063) Santa Clara Caltrain Pedestrian Undercrossing project consist of the construction of approximately 80 feet long of precast concrete pedestrian underpass tunnel under an existing rail lines, including approximately 275 feet long by 36 feet wide cast-in-place concrete ramp/stair structure from the tunnel to grade on Brokaw Road. Construct associated drainage, electrical, lighting, station communications, civil and architectural elements. The project is located near the existing Santa Clara Caltrain Station Construction is anticipated to start in July 2016. During the construction period, the impacted rail lines servicing Caltrain, UPRR and other railroads, will be completely taken out of service during the four-day Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Contractor is require to complete the installation of all 14 segments of the new precast pedestrian underpass structure, including but not limiting to demolition, excavation, shoring, installing the tunnel segments and conduits, waterproofing, backfilling, and new ballast placement. Installation of these tunnel segments must be completed during this one time track closure. The approximate value of the construction contract is in the range of $5 to $7 Million.
