Specifications include, but are not limited to:The overall objective of this project is to increase storage capabilities and capacities that allowMississippi State University's National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center's (nSPARC) to meetthe growing demand for research, analysis, and system design services. To support this growth, nSPARCstaff has worked with certified engineers to extensively analyze their applications, future knownapplications and data types in order to understand the best types of storage platforms that would bemost beneficial to nSPARC's business needs.nSPARC staff has completed and evaluated various storage products within the industry will purchaseseparate storage solutions for both block and file with management software to allow us to centrallymanage the new storage systems and existing EMC VNXArrays. Both the block and file solutions shouldbe from the same manufacturer.nSPARC seeksa solution with the following minimum capabilities for its Data Center located at 2Research Blvd, Starkville, MS. Note: there is no loading dock at this address. These are minimumrequirements. The vendor is responsible for providing a complete and working system when proposingsolutions for nSPARC's SAN acquisition project.Block Data solution with the following system attributes: Solution must be two (2) all-solid-state disk arrays with 20TB raw capacity each. Each array mustbe able to accomplish a minimum 3:1 efficiency (compression plus de-duplication) ratioguaranteeing at least 45TB usable per array for the overall solution. Each array must be an independent cluster with redundant controllers. Solution should be capable of providing greater than 99.999% uptime. Solution must use an active/active N-way scale-out architecture. Solid state arrays must be capable of being clustered and able to continue accessing/operatingboth arrays even if the controllers in one of the two solid state disk units should fail. Solution must support In-memory metadata. Solution must support continuous/constant always inline deduplication and compression. Solution must support always on, inline thin provisioning. Solution must have consistent sub-millisecond I/O latency. 150K lOPS sustained @ 70% read/30% write. 250k lOPS sustained @ 100% read and lOOK lOPS sustained @ 100% write. System must support Flash-Specific Data Protection, instead of traditional RAID sets.
