Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.2.3 Project Overview: OJD Current Environment: Under this proposed project, the total number of phone lines to be converted for all locations listed in Attachment B B OSCA Division Locations is approximately 500. Some of those lines are analog lines for fax machines and conference phones. As vendors who conduct business in this industry know, a requirement of a VOIP phone system is the use of Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches to provide power to the phones without the need of a power supply. There are currently no PoE switches in any of the locations listed in Attachment B OSCA Division Locations, so one requirement would be replacing all existing switches with PoE models regardless of what VOIP solution is chosen. There is fiber connecting all of the locations listed in Attachment B OSCA Division Locations with the exception of 525 Trade Street in Salem and 541 NE 20th Ave., in Portland. These two sites are connected using our WAN provider LSN. LSN honors quality of service (QOS) tags OJD set on all traffic so they could handle prioritizing VOIP traffic.
