Specifications include, but are not limited to:Rock Eagle 4-H Center is located north of Eatonton, Georgia, adjacent to the Oconee National Forest. With nearly 1,500 acres of forested land, including a 110 acre lake, Rock Eagle is a natural meeting site away from everyday life. Opened in 1955, Rock Eagle is the largest of five centers operated by the University of Georgia as support for the state's 4-H Program. Thousands of young people annually participate in the Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program, as well as the Summer Camping Program; made available through Georgia's County Extension Offices. The project is a part of an overall masterplan to replace existing concrete block cabins constructed in the 1950s with new cabins to better serve 4-Hers and other visitors. Project Description This project includes demolition of 6 existing 1,536 square foot concrete block cabins and the construction of 6 new 2,970 square foot cabins including associated site and utility work as described in the contract documents entitled Rock Eagle 4-H Center Cabins 43-48. The cabins are based on a prototype and the goal is for these 6 cabins to match the 28 recently constructed replacement cabins
