Specifications include, but are not limited to:The contract contemplated consists of construction and delivery of Stage Draperies for the Newmark Theatre (NMK), Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (ASCH) and Keller Auditorium (KA) including legs, and a new main curtain. Add Alternates include legs, borders, a black scrim and a blackout drop. Delivery of all specified items must be coordinated with Portland5 personnel and occur prior to January 12, 2016. The draperies shall meet the following specifications: 1.1 Quality Assurance: A. Fabricator Qualifications 1. The fabricator shall be a firm with not less than ten years of successful experience in fabrication of stage curtains similar to those required for this project. B. Flame resistant requirements: 1. The fabricator will provide stage curtains which are certified to be inherently flame resistant in accordance with requirements of NFPA 701, and will provide certification of such flame resistance. 2. Aperman e n t l a b e l w i l l b e a t t a c h e d o n w e b b i n g a t b o t t o m o f e a c h c u r t a i n , a t l e a s t 2 4 f r o m side hem, indicating date of manufacture, whether curtain is permanently and inherently flame resistant, and whether it will require retreatment after cleaning. 1.2 Sample Fabric Submittals: 1. T h e f a b r i c a t o r w i l l s u b m i t a f a b r i c m a n u f a c t u r e r s s t a n d a r d c o l o r c a r d , t o g e t h e r w i t h a 1 2 square physical sample of the material in each color specified. Fabric Material Order may NOT proceed without written approval of sample by MERC representative. 2.1 Materials: 1. Curtain Fabric will be 25 ounce matte black Inherently Flame Resistant (IFR) synthetic velour material. 2. Heavy Weight: Fabric shall weigh not less than 25 ounces per linear yard. 3. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, the fabricator will provide one of the following weight fabrics or an approved equal: (Please refer to OR APPROVED EQUAL CLAUSE on Page 5 for approved equal products submission.) a. Stage curtains shall be 25 oz. Charisma Synthetic Velour, IFR from Rose Brand. b. Main curtain shall be Melco Little Squares (F.R.) or Lenox Banjo Cloth (I.F.R.). c. Scrim will be Trevira CS Sharkstooth, IFR from Rose Brand. 4. Color: Legs, Borders, Scrim and Black Out Panels will all be Black. Main Curtain color will be Burgundy to match existing Keller Auditorium color scheme and existing Main Curtain. T h e f a b r i c a t o r w i l l s u b m i t a f a b r i c m a n u f a c t u r e r s s t a n d a r d c o l o r c a r d , t o g e t h e r w i t h a 1 2 square physical sample of each of the materials to assure color match prior to order. All fabrics to be supplied MUST come from the same dye lot to insure a proper match
