Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCOPE OF WORK:1. The contractor shall remove existing fire pump and replace with new pump.2. The contractor shall remove existing piping and electrical on existing fire pump.3. The contractor shall re-pipe new fire pump and re-wire to work with new transferswitch.4. The contractor shall dispose of existing fire pump and any other materialaccording to local, state, and federal regulations, if applicable.5. Pump Specificationso Provide electrically driven fire pump with rated capacity that is designed toreplace existing diesel pump. Old fire pump specifications are listed below.The new pump shall meet or exceed these specifications: RATED B.H.P. 62 MAX B.H.P. 54.7 MAX SUCTION 164 PSI G.P.M. 500 R.P.M.3300 PSIG 100 MAX PSIG 111 IMP.DIA. 6.125 MOTOR - 480 3 PHASEo Fire pump assembly to include pump controller, jockey (pressuremaintenance pump) and associated controller, fire pump test header, citybypass and all other associated equipment to comply with the NFPAstandards.6. Work shall include all required interconnecting wiring for a fully operational pumpinstallation.7. Provide all new drains necessary to drain and test the fire pump.8. Prepare and submit shop drawings, record drawings and other submittalsrequired herein.9. Install fire protection system identification signs in accordance with NFPA 20.10.Perform an acceptance test of the new fire pump in accordance with the Countyof El Paso Requirements. The manufacturers representative shall also attend allfire pump testing. The Contractor shall be responsible for carrying out requiredtests.11.The Contractor shall guarantee all new equipment and systems duringinstallation and for a two year period after Final acceptance of the work by theCounty.812.The Contractor shall pay all fees required to obtain permits or approval of thiswork.13.The Contractor shall work out a project replacement schedule with Countysproject manager in order to minimize the amount of building staff and tenantdisruption during the installation.14.The Contractor shall supply all materials, equipment, and permits required byfederal, state, city or county regulations for this project.15.All work shall be performed in compliance with federal, state, and local codesand other applicable laws.16.The Contractor shall have the work inspected and approved by a mechanicalengineer provided by the contractor and the County before the invoice is paid forthis project.17.The County and the successful Proposer may negotiate a Statement of Work forthe Contract.
