Specifications

This project relocates College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) equine Theriogenology facilities from a satellite campus in Southern Pines, NC to the Reedy Creek Farm. The new facilities will consolidate programs and create a flagship teaching /research space for the CVMs Equine Program. This project is a joint venture with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and will facilitate cross disciplinary engagement between the two programs. Phase A of the relocation includes a new 7,800 sf Theriogenology building, 2,300 sf Recipient Mare building, paddocks, fencing, site work, and utilities. The design budget of $230,000 includes architectural, landscape architectural, and engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, security and fire alarm/suppression) design and construction administration services for Phase A. The selected team will verify the project budget in concert with the university. Additional project phases will be dependent upon funding. No additional specifications were given.
