Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Department is seeking proposals to provide Recovery Based Peer Training. The Awarded Bidder will be responsible for statewide coordination, facilitation, and communication of the trainings available through this program and for providing the actual training to chosen Peers, who will then become Facilitators. The Facilitators will be trained in evidence-based or Promising Practices and will share this knowledge by training other Peers to apply the practice in behavioral health settings. The curriculum of this training will provide skills to support individuals in Recovery from behavioral health issues, align their efforts with the principles of Intentional Peer Support and promote evidence-based or Promising Practices. The Awarded Bidder will identify the Peer Support practice modalities for the Recovery Based Peer Training based upon the recommendations of a Recovery Practice Advisory Group, with the prior written approval of the Department. It is also imperative that people with Lived Experience (including consumers/Peers/people in Recovery), are directly involved in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Recovery Based Peer Training service being proposed. B.Specific Requirements 1.Determination of Eligibility to Receive Recovery Based Peer Training a.Describe the outreach methods and vetting process to be utilized to obtain Peers to become trained in, and thereafter become Facilitators for, Recovery Based Peer Training. b.Describe the process to be utilized to ensure a uniform Facilitator application process. All application materials must be approved by the Department in writing prior to being disseminated and/or published. 2.Establish and Maintain a Recovery Practice Advisory Group
