Specifications include, but are not limited to:IntroductionThe psychiatrist will provide services up to 20 hours per month and must possess an MD degree with certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. The psychiatrist must possess Michigan Licenses: Board of Medicine Physician License and Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance License. The psychiatrist must also possess a minimum of five (5) years experience working with juvenile delinquents in a clinic or residential setting.Contractor shall possess video conferencing equipment compatible with the ZOOM equipment at the Bay Pines Center in Escanaba, Michigan1.PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS1.1.Client Eligibility Criteriaa.Definition of Eligibility normally by funding source or program standardsState wards, ages 12-20, in custody within a DHHS operated residential program for felony level crimes committed in the community.The residents seen by the psychiatrist will be those who are:On facility suicide watch;Ordered by the court of jurisdiction to have a psychiatric evaluation and/or individualized treatment;On psychotropic medications and therefore must be monitored by a psychiatrist;Exhibiting severe emotional problems such as depression, hallucinations, or suicidal ideation;Sexual offenders needing to be screened for appropriateness in the sex offender units or groups.b.Determination of EligibilityDHHS shall determine eligibility.1.2.Reserved2.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES2.1.Geographic AreaThe Contractor shall provide services described herein in the following geographic area: Delta County.2.2.CredentialsThe Contractor shall assure that appropriately credentialed or trained staff under its control, including Contractor employees and/or subcontractors, shall perform functions under this Agreement.The psychiatrist will provide services up to 20 hours per month and must possess an MD degree with certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
