Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority hereby solicits proposals to retainConsultants with Qualitative Market Research Capabilities to provide qualitative services on anas needed basis throughout a five year period hence.A qualitative research consultant is defined as a firm or group of consultants which through inhouse,joint venture or prime-subcontractor resources is capable of designing qualitative marketresearch studies: focus groups, one-on-one interviews, service usage diary studies and onlinequalitative studies, etc. Qualitative research firms should also be capable of providing allqualitative services, including: study design, recruiting, interviewing, moderating, analysis,writing final reports, and making oral presentations of findings to SEPTA staff and managementand reporting.The purpose of entering into a qualitative market research contract is to facilitate theimplementation of a comprehensive market research program to:1. Provide information useful in assisting SEPTA become a more cost effective and customeroriented enterprise.2. Support cost saving initiatives and programs that improve service and increase ridership andrevenue.3. Identify priorities and strategies for decision and policy making.4. Enlist qualitative market research consultants that will be part of the SEPTA team inresolving complex transportation market and policy issues.
