Specifications include, but are not limited to:Seminole County Board of County Commissioners requests information/proposals from qualified companies to replace six (6) fixed location Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) compressor/cascade systems (Two [2] per year over the next three [3] years). The SCBA compressor/cascade systems need to comply with all relevant NFPAs, OSHA 29CFR 1940.134, ASTM and DOT standards for air quality and personnel safety for people engaged in structural firefighting, dive, rescue and/or related support efforts. Each system needs to have, at a minimum, the following components: Air Compressor capable of filling various size SCBA cylinders. At a minimum, 6000 PSI, 20 HP, 25 CFM. Air Compressor compatible with 120/208 VAC, 60 Hz, 3 phase electrical service. Fill station Class 2 certified for 5500 PSI blast containment. Fill station shall fill no less than two (2) cylinders at a time. Air storage system designed for the compressor and SCBA bottles being filled. Services to be provided will be: Deliver, install and hook-up according to all applicable codes, the SCBA cascade system at the designated fire station. Electrical connections and/or work will be managed by Seminole County Facilities. Disconnect and remove the old cascade system and all of its components and provide a fair market value credit for each current system being removed. Provide basic factory approved and certified operator training to a minimum of six (6) Seminole County Fire personnel. Provide the initial installation air quality testing report. Provide detailed description of maintenance and testing costs and frequency required to maintain certifications and standards.
