Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and the California Department ofTransportation District 12 (Caltrans District 12) are working together locally andregionally on projects that will add capacity, improve connectivity, increase mobility, andenhance safety. Located in northern Orange County, the Riverside Freeway (SR-91) isone of the regions most vital, but also most congested commuter and commercialcorridors. The 91 Freeway connects communities in Riverside County with employmentcenters in Orange County. It also serves as a bridge that links commercial truckstransporting good and products from the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to keylocal, regional, and even national markets. Orange County visitors and locals alike, alsodrive SR-91 to get to world-class attractions and special events at Anaheim Stadium,The Honda Center, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, local beaches, and otherdestinations. In short, SR-91 helps drive the economy and quality of life.This Scope of Work will support a project to repave the 91 Express Lanes, a four-lane,10-mile toll road built in the median of the Riverside Freeway (SR-91) between theOrange/Riverside County line and the Costa Mesa Freeway (SR-55). Situated betweenthe cities of Anaheim and Yorba Linda. The 91 Express Lanes are a time-savingtransportation alternative for motorists travelling between Orange and Riversidecounties.Beginning in the third quarter of 2016, OCTA and Caltrans District 12 expect to beginrepaving the 91 Express Lanes in both the westbound and eastbound direction. Ingeneral, the purpose of the project is to: Improve existing pavement conditions Enhance driving operations Extend the pavements lifespan
