Scope of ServiceThe contractor will provide the following services to Whitten Center, Clinton, South CarolinaPharmaceutical ServicesConsultant and Professional ServicesChart Services (to be done monthly)OTC ServicesII. Service Requirements A. Pharmaceutical ServicesIn the role as the consulting pharmacist for Whitten Center, perform the following:All prescription medication will be provided in bubble card, unit dose or bulk liquid format. New prescriptions will be faxed to the pharmacy between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day and will be delivered by the pharmacy to the facility on the same day. Successful vendor will provide facsimile machine for each residence nursing station (currently eleven (11) to have prescriptions faxed to them at no charge to the facility. All nightly and cyclic (batch) deliveries of prescribed medications and OTC products will be delivered to the Health Services Building and turned over to the custody of the Nursing Supervisor on duty at that location. Vendor to provide medication cart(s) to include laptop arm for each delivery location. Cart size to be determined after contract is awarded. Each residence requires minimum of one (1) Medicine Cart. Contractor is responsible for all maintenance and repair of all furnished medication carts, lock boxes, and facsimile machines.2. Provide new order and emergency prescription medications as ordered on a twenty- four (24) hour a day, seven (7) days a week basis. In the event that the contractor is located more than thirty (30) miles from the facility being serviced, the consulting Pharmacists will arrange for emergency prescription services to be provided by a local pharmacist/pharmacy.a. A convenience box will be provided by the contractor located in the Health Services Building that contains the most commonly needed new order and Prescription medications. (See Appendix A).3. Over the counter (OTC) medications will be ordered weekly and carried in the facility OTC Inventory. OTC medications will not be ordered under the emergency provision on this contract (See appendix B).4. Temporary absence or GO HOME medications are to be supplied at no charge.5. Individuals being discharged will receive a minimum seven (7) day supply of medications.6. In the event of STAT Medication, the Pharmacist must be able to deliver the medication within three (3) hours or arrange for it through a local pharmacy.7.
