Specifications include, but are not limited to:UT Dallas manages a parking program that regulates parking on a color-coded tieredhierarchy. The campus currently have two parking garages and multiple surface parking lots withan estimated 12,500 parking spaces. The University is in the process of building a new 5 levelsparking garage with an estimated capacity of 1,200 parking spaces.The garage parking guidance system is intended to be implemented by the opening of theparking structure in August 2016. The requested garage system should provide users with wayfinding and parking availability information to guide users to locations with available parking.Ideally, the system should also allow users to identify available parking via phone application andwireless remote signage.The purpose of this project is to request proposals for a parking guidance system with thecapacity to manage parking for a 1,200 parking spaces garage (five levels structure). The parkingconfiguration will be based on a color parking system comprised of 7 parking categories (purple,orange, gold, green, visitor, disabled, and pay by space) and the system should have the ability tochange colors variably. Pay by space is controlled via electronic meters (LUKE). Track number of available parking spaces in each area with 99% accuracy or better. Include signage to display the different color categories. Provide electronic way finding signs throughout the facility to direct users to specific,designated available parking. Include electronic signage at entrances and floors displaying the number of available spaces byparking category (green, gold, orange, purple, metered, etc.). Provide remotely located signs to direct users to facilities with available parking spaces (nearcampus entrances)
