Specifications include, but are not limited to:North Ward Park Master Plan Project Overview The City of Winston-Salem has many parks, recreational facilities, and natural areas for active and passive recreation that help make it a desirable place to live. However, increased growth and development can result in a reduction in this quality of life if steps are not taken to protect and expand the communitys outdoor recreation and environmental resources and ensure that recreational facilities keep pace with population growth and land development. Proposals for development or the redevelopment of new and existing parks are based on needs analysis. In our North Ward, the City of Winston-Salem has identified land for a new park site to service the users in the immediate neighborhoods. Following site acquisition, a site specific master plan should be completed for the development of the park with input from potential users. A restroom, picnic shelter, playground, water splash pad, parking, and enclosed youth soccer are the major focus of this RFQ. The North Ward Master Plan proposals sought by this RFQ include: The master planning and design development of a 4.03 acre park approximately located at 2369 Bethabara Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Park development shall include parking, picnic shelter, outdoor water splash pad, playground, pedestrian walking paths, and enclosed youth soccer practice area. 2.1.1 See APPENDIX B, SITE DETAILS for specific information on each site the City is seeking services sought by this RFQ.
