Specifications include, but are not limited to:Area 1: Professional Learning The successful bidder will develop and implement an intensive and sustained model of professional learning with a focus on supporting the development of flexible and personalized pathways, local comprehensive assessment systems in proficiency-based learning through models of effective collaboration. The winning bid will also show a working knowledge of VT AOE Standards, guidelines, and products (Professional Learning Standards (2012), Education Quality Standards (2014), Vermont Multi-tiered System of Supports Response to Intervention and Instruction Field Guide (2014), Great SchoolsPartnershipPBLSystemicA p p r o a c h L e a r n i n g M o d u l e s (2014), Core Leadership Standards, Strengthening and Streamlining Local Comprehensive Assessment Systems: Guidelines and Support Tools for Leadership Teams (2015). Refer to Appendix II for links and additional references that may be helpful to you. The proposal must also reflect a response through the lens of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) designing professional learning that builds the capacity of educators to meet the learning needs of ALL students. P r o f i c i e n c y -based learning and proficiency-based graduation refers to systems of instruction, assessment, grading and academic reporting that are based on students demonstrating mastery of the knowledge and skills they are expected to learn before they progress to the next lesson, get promoted to the n e x t g r a d e l e v e l , o r r e c e i v e a d i p l o m a . (EQS, p. 7) Deliverables: 1. Collaborative Learning Group for Principals (1 day - 4 x a year) 2. Collaborative Learning Group for Curriculum Coordinators (1 day - 4 x a year) 3. Collaborative Learning Group for Coaches (1 day - 4 x a year) 4. Practitioner Lesson Study Group(s) (on-going; yearly commitment) 5. Digging Deep Series or Institutes with Visiting Expert(s) on Flexible and Personalized Pathways, Local Comprehensive Assessment Systems, and Instructional Coaching to Support Implementation (1 day - 3 x a year or Institutes / groupings of days) 6. Annual Proficiency-Based Learning Conference (1 per year up to 2 days duration) 7. Instructional Rounds (on-going; yearly commitment)
