This Scope of Services details statements of qualifications from firms who are architectural and/or engineering firms registered in the State of Florida and who maintain an office and personnel within the State, to provide professional services for the planning, design, permitting, bid support, and construction management of various improvements at Mashes Sands Park in Wakulla County, This project includes: improvements to the existing boat ramp and parking areas; renovation of the existing restroom facility or construction of a new facility depending on a condition assessment; and construction of walking paths, boardwalks, and observation platforms, educational kiosk, and canoe/kayak launch site (Project Improvements). The park is located approximately 2.4 miles south of the intersection U.S. Hwy 98 and County Road 372 as shown on the NRDA Mashes Sands Map. 3.02. Background. As a part of the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Natural Resources Damage Assessment (NRDA) Early Restoration Program (ERP) the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is issuing this RFSOQ for the design of the various Project Improvements as outlined above in Mashes Sands Park in Wakulla County, Florida that was impacted from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and its related cleanup efforts. 3.03. Scope of Services. This RFSOQ is for a project that requires architectural, civil engineering, environmental services for the development of plans and obtaining of permits to construct the Mashes Sands Park improvements. The services anticipated under the contract resulting from this RFSOQ may include, but not be limited to, the following: Meet and conduct site visit with DEP Project Manager and Wakulla County staff to assess existing conditions and develop a scope of work; Develop a concept plan for the Project Improvements that would be presented at a public meeting; Conduct necessary surveys and geotechnical investigations to develop design plans and specifications at successive submittal levels for the construction of the Project Improvements outlined above. Note: All new and improved facilities must be ADA compliant);
