Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this RFP is to obtain engineering survey services in support of the close out of the right of way portion of the Portland to Milwaukie Light Rail Transit (PMLR) project. The Contractor shall work with TriMets Real Property Department, Clackamas County, Multnomah County, and other contractors and agencies as necessary to provide the services described herein. The Contractor shall provide the necessary land surveyors, survey technicians, Computer Aided Design (CAD) technicians, and all other technical skills, materials, equipment, supplies, and other services to perform the work. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to assemble the project team, provide management, coordination and direction to its team (including subcontractors), as well as limited coordination with TriMets other contractors, be the point of contact for project and contractual issues, and supply the required services on time and within budget. The PMLR project is approximately seven miles long, running from its northern connection at the Portland Mall segment of the South Corridor project near Portland State University, to its southern terminus at Park Avenue in unincorporated Clackamas County. TriMet gained title to much of the PMLR corridor by a combination of agreements, deeds, easements, and judgments. According to the Preliminary Right of Way plan set (attached as EXHIBIT 1), the corridor was assembled from over 250 separate ownerships. During negotiations for the acquisition of individual parcels, variations in the acquisition propertys size and shape, or changes in the type of interest acquired may have occurred. Additionally, TriMet may have granted easements or dedicated or conveyed portions of the acquired parcels to other jurisdictions for newly established or widened public rights of way after the initial TriMet acquisition
