Specifications include, but are not limited to:Background - The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Vendors for the rental of portable restrooms on a contract basis for the City of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department, Marion Independent Schools and the City of Marion Parks Department. While these departments have itemized their usage (see Attachment D) other City departments may choose to utilize these services at the contract rates. The City of Cedar Rapids Purchasing Services Division will be the host agency for this bid. After the bid is awarded, each agency will be responsible for its own ordering, acceptance and payments. Because multiple jurisdictions intend to use the products requested in this bid, the words CITY and AGENCY or AGENCIES shall apply to all government agencies that are port of this process. 4.2 Scope of Work 4.2.1 Vendor is responsible for the installation and maintenance of portable restrooms on a contract basis. Bid price shall include delivery, pickup, and dumping fees, as well as any other fees associated with the maintenance and repair of the portable restrooms. Prompt and timely set-up and tear down are required, as well as cooperation with City staff at job sites. 4.2.2 Known requirements are listed on the bid specification sheets. Additional units may be required due to development, major repairs, increased usage or special events. Successful Vendor agrees to furnish additional units to unnamed sites within the City at the contracted rates. City agrees to give 24-hour notice at a minimum for ordering units for Special Events. 4.2.3 Minor repairs of units shall be made on site when possible. Any unit which cannot be repaired on site must be exchanged within 48 hours. There shall be no additional charge for repairs. 4.2.4 Each unit shall be equipped with a working lock system, occupied/vacant indicator, tissue paper holder thatisfirmlyattac h e d t o t h e u n i t p e r m a n u f a c t u r e r s s p e c i f i c a t i o n , a n d a h i n g e d s e a t c o v e r i n w o r k i n g order. All other equipment shall be in working order. Vendor shall ensure that toilet tissue will be placed in all units at time of service. 4.2.5 All units shall be consistent in color, appearance and age. These units are for public use and must represent a positive image.
