Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Fence materials will be supplied by the owner; however, the Contractor will be requiredto transport the fence materials from the Parks storage area to the work site.2. Trees will not be removed unless absolutely necessary and approved by the ProjectManager. The Contractor will minimize damage to trees and vegetation outside of thefence corridor as much as possible.3. Clearing vegetation means to remove the vegetation (mainly brush, shrubs, and low treebranches that are in the way of the fence and any trees that have been approved by theProject Manager for removal) within the fence corridor (along the existing and proposedfence lines) to a maximum height of six inches. This may be accomplished usingmechanical means and/or hand clearing to clear a path or corridor to provide access androom to work in order to build new fence and for future fence maintenance. Clearingdoes not apply to grass.4. The Contractor will use existing roads and routes within the Park/Reclamation property toaccess the work sites, unless new routes are specifically approved by the ProjectManager.5. Cost for Services: The Contractor shall submit a cost summary sheet showing the unitbreakdown and total cost for each TASK. A total Cost for Services that includes all the taskswill also be shown, this will depict the total expenses to perform the tasks stated in thisScope of Work.6. If the costs exceed the available funds, the Project Manager will select the TASKs to beperformed under the contract that is awarded. One or more tasks may be removed fromthe contract, or the length of fence may be shortened if the bids come in higher than theallowed budget.7. An onsite meeting will be required to see the project work area(s) and work proposed underthis scope of work.8. The schedule of performance is from the date of the notice to proceed to 120 days later.Keep in mind the weather at Vega Park may change rapidly and bad weather may occur.The contract may be extended in cases of bad weather when work is shut down, or forother unforeseen circumstances. This will be determined by the Project Manager.9. Proposals must contain the prime contractor's identification and contact information,completion of a W9 tax form; and an executive summary must be included as a briefdiscussion of how the required work will be performed and the proposed schedule; and willidentify experience and references for similar fencing projects completed.10. Old fencing that is replaced with new fence or any part of the old fence that is removedfrom the fence line shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be properlydisposed of or recycled offsite; completely removed from within the State Park boundary.
