Specifications include, but are not limited to:4.12 Pesticide Requirements4.12.1 Not store or dispose of chemicals at ADES facilities.4.12.2 Use chemical containers with the original manufacturers or distributors label.4.12.3 Adhere to pesticide labels and applicable requirements, State of Arizona and federal laws andregulations for pesticides.4.12.4 Mix and apply chemicals according to the directions written on the pesticide label or directions inaccompanying or referenced literature.4.12.5 Clean all surfaces that may have been exposed to the applied chemicals.4.12.6 Use pesticides which have been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and theState Chemist.4.13 Insect and Spider Control: Provide the following based on the infestation and the area to be treated,including interior and exteriors of facilities:4.13.1 Apply liquid residual insecticides to any areas where insects or spiders breed or harbor, includingvoids and concealed areas.4.13.2 Provide spot treatment where pests are found.4.13.3 Provide exterior treatment that includes, at a minimum, granulation, crack and creviceapplications, and liquid formulations to prevent exterior entry.4.13.4 Provide installation of insecticide baits in the form of gel, paste, or containerized formulations.4.13.5 Apply non-residual insecticides or aerosol in sensitive food processing areas and as a flushing/contact insecticide.4.13.6 Make recommendations to OFM of repairs necessary to prevent the future entry of insects andspiders.4.14 Rodent Control: Provide the following based on the infestation and the area to be treated;4.14.1 Provide the LOC with a schedule for inspecting traps, a plan for elimination of the rodent infestationand rodent disposal plan.4.14.2 Use mechanical repeating traps, snap or trigger traps and glue boards (traps) where necessary.All traps shall be placed out of public view. Apply non-lethal tracking powder in concealed voids or in sealed rodent stations.4.14.3 Clearly label areas where traps are located and provide the LOC with the trap locations.4.14.4 Remove trapped rodent(s) in a timely manner upon notification from the LOC.
