Specifications include, but are not limited to:SMUD is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for management of the entire operation of payment processing for our current walk-in pay stations through automation. This must be done through effective integration of a project team, compliance with regulatory requirements, p r o c e s s e s a n d t e c h n o l o g y t o e n s u r e e n h a n c e m e n t o f S M U D s b u s i n e s s o p e r a t i o n s . S M U D expects to provide current and future options for our customers to make payments on their accounts in person. Payment terminals, software and any other equipment provided by the vendor would need to be installed and at all of our current pay stations so they may continue to accept customer payments without a convenience fee. Currently, our customers pay their accounts prior to 7pm PST and agents close out their terminals in order for SMUD to receive a daily transaction file
