Specifications include, but are not limited to:IntroductionCITYSPAVEMENTNETWORKWithin the Hermosa Beach pavement management network there are approximately 17.4 section miles of Arterial/Collector streets. The Arterial and Collector network consists of approximately 3,088,468 SF of pavement which consists of 167 pavement sections. The Local network consists of approx. 3,791,818 SF of pavement which consists of 369 pavement sections totaling in 30.0 section miles. The Alley network consists of 33,873 SF of pavement which includes 10 sections totaling 0.5 miles. Combined, the entire network consists of 47.4 section miles of streets, 6,914,159 SF and 546 total pavement sections. T h e C i t y s p a v e m e n t n e t w o r k i s b r o k e n d o w n i n t o m a n a g e a b l e g r o u p s t h a t h a v e s i m i l a r c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s , s u c h as pavement street classification, surface type and logical segmentation. Pavement segments are identified by their branch and section numbers. Pavement branches that have a common usage, such as Hermosa A v e , d e f i n e s a b r a n c h w i t h i n Micropaver. Pavement sections are pavement segments within the defined branch that have consistent pavement street classifications, construction/maintenance histories and use. Representative inspection samples are then selected and visually surveyed to locate distress data. This data is used to calculate the pavement sections Pavement Condition Index (PCI) which includes distress type, extent of the distress and its severity. In order to receive local funding assistance from Measure R, MTA, and other available funding sources such as the STIP (State Transportation Improvement Program), the City is required to prepare a Pavement Management Plan (PMP) and it every two (2) years for Arterial/Collector routes
