Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Washoe County Purchasing Office is currently accepting written Proposals for PASTURE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS, on behalf of Regional Parks and Open Space of the Washoe County Community Services Department. 1. SCOPE AND INTENT: Washoe County maintains certain park properties that contain undeveloped lands that require upkeep and maintenance but are suitable for the growing of hay and/or the pasturing of cattle. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to contract for the annual maintenance and upkeep of these lands subject to certain restrictions, to a person or persons, offering the County the best value aesthetically and monetarily for annual maintenance and upkeep of these lands in exchange for the right to grow hay and/or graze livestock on the park properties to be maintained. The successful applicant must be qualified and experienced for the intended usage of the park property and such usage must be suitable and acceptable to the Washoe County Community Services Director. Haying and/or pasturage of cattle has been the approved usage to which the land shall be put. Final determination as to utilization rests solely with Washoe County. The specific lands under consideration for pasture maintenance include: 1.1 Rancho San Rafael Park, located at 1595 North Sierra Street, Reno, Nevada (Exhibit A). Approximately 26 acres of hayfields. No pasturing permitted at Rancho San Rafael Park. Note: The 26 acres of hayfields cannot be utilized for grazing; and Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Park located at the intersection of Mayberry Drive and W. McCarran Avenue (Exhibit B). Approximately 20 acres of pasture rated at 15 cow/calf pairs. Property must be hayed and may be pastured if desired. Pasturing limited to cattle only, no horses or sheep permitted. 1.2 Anderson/Bartley. Anderson is located adjacent to Bartley Ranch Regional Park and accessible via Del Monte Lane or Bonde Lane (Exhibit C), and has approximately 52 acres rated at 30 cow/calf pairs. Property must be hayed and may be pastured if desired. Bartley is located at 6000 Bartley Ranch Rd. (Exhibit D) and has 4 acres. Property must be hayed and may be pastured if desired. Pasturing limited to cattle only, no horses or sheep permitted. 1.3 Wilson Commons Rand Ranch Property located at 4970 Susan Lee Circle, Washoe Valley. Approximately 22 acres. NOTE- Washoe County reserves the right to enter into separate agreements for the above properties, with the exception of Rancho San Rafael and Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Park which are anticipated to be awarded together as a single agreement.
