Per AQMD Executive Order VR-301-D. Scope of work shall consist of:1. Prepare fuel tank surface using Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) standards. See attached SSPC standards, Exhibit C.The following shall apply:a. SSPC-SP1 (Surface Preparation 1) Solvent Cleaning - Remove all visible oil, grease, soil, drawing and cutting compounds, and other soluble contaminants from steel surfaces with solvent, vapor, cleaning compound, alkali, emulsifying agent, steam or pressure washingb. SSPC-SP2 Hand Tool Cleaning - Remove all loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, and other loose detrimental foreign matter by hand chipping, scraping, sanding, and wire brushingc. SSPC-SP3 Power Tool Cleaning - Remove all loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, and other loose detrimental foreign matter by power wire brushing, power sanding, power grinding, power tool chipping, and power tool descaling2. Remove and replace compliance decals. Decals shall meet federal, state and local jurisdictional requirements. Provide placarding in accordance with U.F.C. Section 3404.2.3 identifying material within for tanks > 100gal. of Class I, II, or III Liquid (Gasoline 3-3-0 / Diesel 2-2-0 / Oil 2-1-0).3. Repair corroded areas and low spots as needed using Bond filler putty or equivalent4. Apply primer as needed. Primer shall meet approved coating specifications5. Apply Jones-Blair Acrylithane HS4 or equivalent coating system meeting AQMD Executive Order VR-301-D. Coating shall be applied per manufactures specifications to 3-4 millimeters dry film thickness (DFT)6. Recoat as needed to meet DFT7. Clean area of any debris used during the painting process8. Locations of tanks to be painted are listed in Exhibit A9. AQMD Executive Order VR-301-D Standards are stated in Exhibit B10. Leaking hoses or equipment will be repaired by the Fire Department.11. Repaint any vent pipes or fittings protruding from tank that have been previously painted.Note:1.Job must be completed in 90 days after the Purchase Order has been issued.2.Please include two remaining tanks from Camp 008 into your bid.
