Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor and material required to patch, repair and recoat the damagedpadded floor in safety cell 130 in housing unit one (1) in the Central Services building as specified herein.The area to be repaired is on the concrete floor and is approximately 3 x 4 with a floor toilet and floorvent.2.3.2 The contractor shall submit one (1) sample of completed padding system, including required accessories,and provide a 12 x 12 sample of complete padding system showing joint treatment and transitionbetween wall and floor for approval and acceptance to:Leland MillerPhysical Plant SupervisorDepartment of CorrectionsSouth Central Correctional Center255 Highway 32Licking, MO 65542Phone: 573-674-4470, ext. 17032.3.3 The contractor shall build the cost for removal of all bad material from the premises and its disposal intothe acquisition cost for line item 001 as applicable. The Department will provide a dumpster for disposal.a. The contractor must leave the work-site in broom-clean condition, disposing of excess materialsand debris consistent with good industry practices and in accordance with local, state and federalrules, laws, etc.b. The contractor shall exercise due diligence and accepted industry practices for preventingunnecessary damage to walls and other surfaces.2.3.4 Although the Department realizes there is no guarantee, the contractor shall strive to match the existingpaint when applying the top coat sealer on the safety padding.2.3.5 Job Conditions - The Department will ensure a minimum temperature of 65 degrees F is maintained in thespace to receive protective padding for at least 48 hours prior to installation, during installation, and fornot less than 48 hours after installation.2.3.6 Inspection The start of padding installation shall indicate acceptance of surface conditions and fullresponsibility for completed work.2.3.7 Surface Preparation The contractor shall perform preparation and cleaning procedures in strictcompliance with padding manufacturers instructions for particular substrate conditions. The contractorshall fill all cracks with filler material recommended by the padding manufacturer.
