Specifications include, but are not limited to:LIGHTING BOARD PROGRAMMER:Work closely with the Lighting Designer, translating their vision into actual cues and directions others can follow. A go between the Designer and those working the actual lighting board, or sitting at the board yourself. Set up cues to turn different spotlights on at the correct times. Speed is a necessary skill. Have an eye for design as many of our clients look to us for suggestions and design to give each show a special look. We will consider all skill levels as events range from simple, one cue looks to full stage shows and concerts with multiple cues, refocusing and special effects. Must be able to work day/night, weekday and weekend shifts. May include some holidays. Shifts are in and/or out-door with prevailing weather conditions at the time. RIGGER: Align, level and anchor machinery. Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools. Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams and ceilings, using bolts and clamps. Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls and other equipment. Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use. Fabricate, set up and repair rigging, supporting structures, manual hoists and pulling gear using hand and power tools. Manipulate rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment or theatrical sets. Select gear such as cables, pulleys and winches according to load weights and sizes, facilities and work schedules. Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safety of workers and materials. Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability. Tilt, dip and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques. Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts. Applicants must have strong experience in rigging, including counterweight flyrail systems and chain hoists. Must be able to work day/night, weekday and weekend shifts. May include some holidays. Shifts are in and/or out-door with prevailing weather conditions at the time.
