Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of New Mexico Hospitals is seeking bids from qualified bidders to purchase on-site instrument maintenance services and placement of (1) Instrument Repair Tech (40 hours per week) and (1) Instrument Management Facilitator (40 hours per week) as well as all equipment and maintenance of equipment necessary for instrument maintenance services. The equipment and equipment maintenance service shall be provided by the successful vendor. Bidder shall provide an annual cost that is inclusive of all services exceptfor offsite repairs and sterilizer cleaning. A list of offsite repairs i.e., light cord and insulation replacement for (Laparoscopic Instrumentation and Bipolars) must be provided along with fixed pricing for each repair service. All offsite repairs are subject to prior approval by an authorized Operating Room representative. Vendor shall also include pricing for Bi-Annual Cleaning of Sterile Processing Equipment. Bi-annual cleaning of Sterile Processing Equipment for all Sterile Processing Areas is optional and may be awarded the successful vendor of instrument maintenance or individually to the lowest bidder of this service. If bi-annual cleaning of Sterile Processing Equipment is awarded, Sterile Processing will make the final determination on approved workmanship. If workmanship has not been previously evaluated, bidder will be required to qualify their workmanship through Sterile Processing. Bids will be deemed non-responsive for Bidders not pre-qualifying their workmanship or for workmanship that is unacceptable. The successful bidder will maintain ownership of equipment that is provided as part of this agreement. If suitable space is not found in the hospital to house the equipment and employees, the successful bidder will be responsible for providing a portable building. The building will be supplied at the bidders cost, including transportation and installation and will be placed in the parking area or in a space identified by the hospital
