Specifications include, but are not limited to:Texas A&M University is seeking proposals for a Concessionaire for its On-Campus/Residential Washer & Dryer Concessionlocated in one (1) coin/credit card operated substation/washateria at The Gardens Apartments and seventy (70) other leased runfreelocations in twenty-five (25) residence halls and twelve (12) Corps of Cadets dorms, see Appendix A, suitable for installationof the coin/credit card and leased run-free operated washers and dryers for the period of a five (5) year agreement with two (2)additional renewal years upon negotiation of pricing and proof of a satisfactory service. Currently space is available for 639 units(316 washers and 323 dryers), but 64 of the units are scheduled for use in the 4 Corps of Cadets dorms undergoing majorrenovations and will not be operational until August of 2017 (see Appendix A). Some locations may have space for additionalmachines if requested by the University throughout the term of awarded contract. The University has long range plans for theconstruction and renovation of several apartments and residence halls and may request an amendment to the awarded contract toaccommodate the need for additional machines. Texas A&M University desires coin and/or credit card operated machines at thewashateria at The Gardens Apartments and leased/run-free machines in all of the traditional residence hall and Corps dormlocations. The University is also interested in seeking an alternative proposal by interested vendors for the purchase of all machinesby the University with the successful bidder providing preventative and on-going maintenance service only. Vendors may submitother optional and related laundry services, but the University reserves the right to determine which option or combination ofoptions will be selected for each location on-campus. The washer and dryer equipment and the location of all equipmentinstallations are subject to the prior written approval of the University.
