Scope Network Penetration and Vulnerability Study To assess the vulnerability, if any, of MAIFs network to unauthorized penetration from external and internal sources and to verify MAIFs security procedures, MAIF is seeking the services of a firm experienced in performing technical penetration and vulnerability measure assessments. The successful respondent will be responsible for: Full External Perimeter Evaluation (Utilizing a Partial Knowledge Methodology) Internal Vulnerability Evaluation Full External Perimeter Evaluation Specifications Utilizing a partial knowledge methodology: 1.Internet Penetration: a.Scan IP addresses for known Internet vulnerabilities. b.Assess possible methods of attacks based on the identification of vulnerabilities. c.Attempt to gain root/administrative level access to internal systems. d.Evaluate existing controls for external network connections (e.g., Internet, EDI, EFT). 2.Remote Access Penetration: a.Assess vulnerabilities related to remotely accessed systems. b.Assess possible methods of attacks based on the identification of vulnerabilities. c.Attempt to gain root/administrative level access to internal systems. 3.Evaluate existing controls for remote access to MAIFs internal networks. 4. Access security concerns related to the configuration of the DMZ. 5. Access security concerns related to the configuration of devices in the DMZ. 6. Access security concerns related to the configuration of Wireless. 7. Access security concerns related to the configuration of Email. 8. Access security concerns related to the configuration of our DR environment. 9. Access security concerns related to Telecommunications
