Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:Off-street spaces: Pay stations to service three City parking lots: Redstone Parking Ramp (454 parking spaces), RiverCenter Parking Ramp (792 parking spaces), and Harrison Street Parking Ramp2 (642 parking spaces). The three parking ramps consist of monthly cardholders and commuters. 2. Housing: Graffiti, vandal and weather resistant. 3. Coin validator: Vandal resistant and able to accept different user defined coins. 4. Coin canister: Portable cash box system with built-in security components. 5. Card reader: Able to accept multiple payment methods including smart cards, debit cards, credit cards, and microprocessor cards. 6. Power: Prefer solar power, but also be able to include other non-hard-wired power supply options, including battery. Proposal should clarify the purchase price and running costs difference between the various power options. 7. Display: Description of display including size, color, character and language capabilities. 8. Printer: Printer capabilities including font and character and graphic capabilities, paper type and receipt design and programmability. Printed customer receipts shall show the license plate number and the lot where parked. 9. Wireless: Wireless two-way communications capability to monitor status of pay stations and be able to have special event and variable prices implemented by the City. Wireless system shall be integrated with hand-held citation equipment. 10. Electronic components: Description of all electronic components and protective measures used to protect components from weather and vandalism. 11. Spare parts: Establish recommended supply and spare part plan. 12. Memory: Proposal shall describe memory type and function, including capacity and limitations. 13. Color and appearance: Pay stations should be aesthetically pleasing and fit well with the ramps existing and proposed streetscape. 14. Drawings: Proposal shall include installation drawings and specifications. 15. Installation: The vendor shall install the pay stations in all three parking ramps in collaboration with the City.
