Specifications include, but are not limited to:Contractor shall provide office relocation and moving services on an as needed basis. Services may include, but are not limited to, moving free standing furniture, records and County-owned equipment throughout various locations in San Diego County. Services may consist of moving one or more individual offices and/or Department from one physical location to another within the County. The Contractor shall also pick-up and deliver County-owned surplus property to the Countys contracted auctioneer provider on an as needed basis. The County of San Diego is committed to providing the departments with moving services using professional, efficient, and experienced movers. As such, all contractor personnel involved with County moves and relocations projects will be required to pass the Countys security and background check. 2. Goals and Outcomes 2.1. Goals: Contractor shall provide the services described herein to accomplish the following goals: 2.1.1. Contractor shall provide efficient and effective ways of organizing office moves to meet the Countys operational needs and timelines. Contractor shall coordinate with the Department Move Coordinator (DMC) regarding project planning, scheduling, timelines and moving logistics for all moves and relocation projects to ensure that all items are moved timely, efficiently, safely, and securely 2.1.2. Contractor shall employ best practices to ensure that all moves are done in the most efficient, safest, and secure manner possible. Contractor shall ensure that all items being moved are protected from damage or loss. This shall also apply to applicable County buildings, facilities and property. 2.1.3. Contractor shall ensure the protection of sensitive and confidential records during all moves. All boxes marked as Records by the County Department shall be treated as sensitive and confidential
