Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:This specification is intended to provide for the minimum requirements of the GreaterCleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) for motor vehicle towing and flat tirereplacement services.4.1.2. The GCRTA operates in all areas of Cuyahoga County an areas of the contiguouscounties. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits toperform these services anywhere in the service area and shall maintain thosepermits throughout the entire contract period. The contractor shall be responsible tomaintain current State of Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles license for the towingand servicing of vehicles. The contractors tow and service vehicle operators shallpossess a valid Commercial Drivers License4.1.3. This specification is intended to provide for all labor and materials necessary for thecontractor to provide towing and flat tire replacement services twenty-four (24) hoursa day, seven (7) days a week. The contractor may be required to demonstrate theirability to perform the requirements of these specifications, to include but not limitedtowing a vehicle chosen by the GCRTA4.1.4. The contractor shall dispatch the tow or flat tire replacement service vehicle withinten (10) minutes of receipt of the call from the GCRTA to the contractors dispatcher.The contractor shall arrive at the scene within one (1) hour after receipt of call. Ifdelays are expected or encountered, the contractor shall contact the GCRTAimmediately.4.1.5. If the first vehicle dispatched cannot successfully accomplish the service, a secondvehicle shall be dispatched within one-half (1/2) hour.4.1.6. If the contractor cannot provide services within the required timeframes, the GCRTAreserves the right to contract services from another vendor. The contractor shall beresponsible for all costs incurred by the second vendor over and above contractedrates
