SCOPE OF WORK The following is a summary scope of work anticipated for the current Project phase. A. The Consultant should have a thorough understanding of the Gulf Environment Benefit Fund (GEBF) funding priorities.Page 2 03/10/2016 B. Perform baseline survey of habitats and wildlife within the Project areas. C. Assess net environmental benefit to spill-injured resources realized by each potential acquisition. D. Develop an independent report for each study Area summarizing Items B and C. E. Assist the City with identifying Key Parcels of importance to Project success. F. Identify site restoration needs on Key Parcels. G. Conduct Phase I (and Phase II) Environmental Site Assessments for Key Parcels, if requested by the City. H. Prepare a preliminary restoration strategy for Key Parcels, where needed. I. Prepare a timeline for developing a long-term stewardship and management plan for Key Parcels. J. Identify other potential sources of funding for the project. K. It is possible that the selected firm may be called upon to provide Additional Services outside the Scope of Work (e.g., acquire boundary surveys for Key Parcels). The services would be requested in writing by the City and hourly rates and an estimate of hours to complete the task(s) would be requested from the selected firm. POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALITIES: The selected firm must: 1. Develop trust and confidence among the various participants and the City departments. Attention to detail, organization and time management skills are fundamental requirements in assisting the City in grant implementation. 2. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Gulf Environment Benefit Fund (GEBF) funding priorities. 3. Be mindful of and responsive to grant-mandated performance timelines. 4. Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills No additional specifications were given.
