Specifications include, but are not limited to:Obtain services from a network engineer/architect to complete the following tasks and objectives. The design, configuration and implementation of this project have approved grant funding and an unspecified hardware budget to support the effort. The network service provider, KINBER, has been contracted separately to provide the underlying network transport and will be a design and implementation partner. The proposed services will be structured as a nottoexceedbid. Upgrade existing WAN connection at the Midtown Campus. o Replace the 100Mbps MPLS WAN connection at Midtown II through Affiniti with a 1Gbps KINBER connection in Midtown I. o Ensure data privacy in transport across the KINBER network between the Midtown I, Harrisburg and any other HACC Campuses on the KINBER network. o Implement a network architecture that will incorporate QoS data prioritization between the Midtown site and other HACC locations and datacenters. o Ensure network design takes high availability concerns into consideration, including existing voice services, and make recommendations for future changes as necessary. Develop purchase recommendations and configure hardware o Expand classroom connectivity from 100Mbps to 1Gbps at the Midtown classrooms. o Replace the core switch architecture at Midtown Building II with equipment capable of supporting a 1/10Gbps LAN connection and a 1 Gbps WAN connection. Leverage existing monitoring systems or develop a solution to demonstrate the following objectives are met. o Network utilization graphs will indicate that WAN connection throughput at the Midtown location does not exceed 80 percent of capacity for a full academic week. o Network utilization graphs will show the demand on the Midtown location VLANs will not exceed 85 percent utilization for more than 30 minutes during peak academic hours.
