Specifications include, but are not limited to:Scope of Work/SpecificationsNassau Community College is requesting bids for the purpose of selecting an environmental testing firm to provide on-site testing and evaluation services concerning microbial and indoor air quality (IAQ) issues. The College expects that the bidder shall use New York City Department of Healths document, Guidelines on Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in Indoor Environments as the template for performing microbial work, with such adaptations as fit the specific conditions at Nassau Community College. A copy of this document is included in this bid as Attachment A. Contractor must adhere to the most current version of this document, which can be found at the following website and link: The selected bidder shall provide the professional testing services necessary to perform the following general requirements: 1. All activities undertaken by the Contractor will be defined as project work. Each project will be defined by a specific written Scope of Work. The Contractor will submit, in writing, a proposal based on the hourly rates and fees stated in the bid response to undertake the evaluation project. The proposal must be reviewed and accepted by the College. The Contractor, following evaluation, will provide a written estimate of the cost of the remediation based upon the Scope of Work developed. This information will be used by the College in evaluation remediation proposals. 2. Contractor must provide all equipment and professional personnel necessary to adequately evaluate air quality, the buildup of internally generated pollutants, and stagnant air conditions. 3. All hourly rates must include any associated costs such as, but not limited to, travel, meals, clerical tasks, mailing, printing, etc. Absolutely no additional reimbursement will be paid for these associated costs. 4. Requirements of the contract will include sample reports, attendance at meetings for the purpose of discussions with concerned members of the College Community, the review of past reports, using telecommunications, and site visits. 5. Partial payment authorization applies, to be consistent with work completed. 6. Improper design, which can contribute to or generate inadequate air quality, will be evaluated. Contractor must be available to discuss building design and maintenance procedures. There will be specific emphasis on occupancy, function and volume of traffic
